Aerialist and Physical Performer.
Accomplished and experienced international aerialist and acrobat. Jo has over 13 years experience performing with gymnastics, theatre and circus for a variety of events ranging from commercials and music videos to corporate events and private parties and everything inbetween. Jo Foley can offer a range of exquisuite, breathtaking acts. Skill set includes aerial hoop, silks, corde lisse, trapeze, aerial arch contortion and duo contortion.
Trained as a gymnast from the age of 5. At the age of 14, during training with Playbox Theatre, Jo extended her studies to aerial work including static trapeze, doubles trapeze and aerial silks and performed in various venues across Coventry and Warwickshire.
Jo continued her training at Circomedia, where she specialised in aerial and acrobatics and achieved a Diploma in Circus Skills and Physical Theatre.
Dedicating herself to performance in Circus Arts, Jo has achieved a BA(Hons) Degree from The Circus Space . During studies at The Circus Space, Jo further honed her skills by intensively studying aerial hoop and pushing the boundaries of what is possible on a simple piece of equipment. Complimenting her aerial abilities by developing skills in acrobatics, contemporary dance, ballet, handbalancing and flexibility. Jo fuses her abilities in circus, theatre and gymnastics and now offers a wide range of aerial hoop acts, ranging from narrative, to beautiful, to absurd.
Since graduating from The Circus Space in 2010, Jo Foley continues to develop her skills in aerial hoop, silks, corde lisse, doubles trapeze contortion and balance and has created a number of high quality new acts.
Jo has performed in various venues in London and the UK including The Roundhouse, Café De Paris, The Grosvenor House Hotel and Westfields, Stratford. International credits include a long term contract at Grand Melia, Palacio De Isora Tenerife, private weddings in Beirut, Lebanon, One Abu Dhabi and Formula One, Delhi, India.
Jo has also featured in London 2012 Olympic Ceremonies, Paolo Nutini's One Day video and Sony Xperia T4 commercial.
Jo Foley is a member of Cirque Du Soliel’s artistes. Jo has been shortlisted as "Best Circus Act" in London Cabaret Awards 2014
She is able to work as part of an ensemble, offers doubles acts in addition to her diverse range of solo acts.
